We are so grateful God brought such a fine Christian couple into our lives. We have a lot of wonderful memories in our visits to you all in Greensboro. He will be greatly missed by many loved ones. Lee A. Smith, age 82, of the Oaks at Limestone passed away Monday, April 17, 2017. He was preceded in death by his wife, Daisy May Smith; sons, Bobby Joe Smith, and Steven Allen Smith; parents, Leroy and Frances Smith. He is survived by his son, Jerry and Donna Smith, Hoschton, GA; daughter, Sue and Scott Smith, Hoschton, GA; special family, Bobbie Jean Hall, Hoschton, GA, Jeff and Sandy Hall, and daughter, Jordan, Douglasville, GA, Janna and Ted Hayes, and children, Dusty, Amber and Kim, Lawrenceville, GA; brothers, Benny and Ethel Smith, McDonough, GA, and Gene and Diana Smith, Douglasville, GA; half brothers, Richard Smith and Raymond Smith; sisters, Lois and Harold Rutledge, Jefferson, GA, Doris Bradley, Georgia, and Sara and Jack Manders, Cumming, GA; five grandchildren, Christy and Keith Blackwell, Hoschton, GA, Glynn Smith, Dunwoody, GA, Shane and Rebekkah Smith Loganville, GA, Hannah Smith, Atlanta, GA, and Luke Smith, Hoschton; and thirteen great grandchildren. Mr. Smith owned a grading company and tree service company. He worked at Southern Bakery, later known as Flowers Bakery. He loved his friends in Lilburn, the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and Harley Davidson Motorcycles. He was involved in antique tractor pulls and loved to travel. He built his own home in Green County with his own two hands. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Pastor Shane Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Rock Springs United Methodist Cemetery, Lawrenceville, GA. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until time of service at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
